I love Connecticut!

Walking up to the University the first day this is what I saw.

The Opening was spectacular!  I really enjoyed the students and professors in Connecticut.  I am grateful for the opportunity to present to them for the week.  Connecticut is gorgeous and the people were interested, warm and welcoming.

It was especially encouraging to hear the different perspectives of the Environmental Art students as well as the regular art students on the meaning of the work.  I like being a fly on the wall, watching as people enter the room.  The overwhelming response is kind of a calming peace that the installation brings to people, along with contemplation.

Another thing I notice about ECHO in this particular location is how it seemed to take on the new atmosphere and reflect it.  This gallery had a different feeling than Leedy-Voulkos, both relevant and interesting in their own way.  The carpet on the floor here made it quite a bit quieter, therefore we were able to play a soundtrack with the exhibit.

This is me, giving an artist talk on opening night.  Thank you Connecticut for being a wonderful host!
